Let's all hope for a safe commute tomorrow! Anyone else getting up early, just in case?
I set my alarm for an hour earlier, just in case.
No snow here yet ! (in Brookhaven)

I got up early but my school is delayed 2 hours. It's Westchester county though.

I always make sure I'm prepared for weather and am never late. Since at least two coworkers are late even in good weather, I'm sure it will be 9:30 before everyone arrives.

Forgot to say... I take all back streets to work and although they weren't plowed, it was manageable. I just didn't drive fast, didn't spin out, and got here fine.
I do have an SUV and that helps, but a lot of people do. So I wouldn't worry too much, just take it easy and don't feel pressured to rush.

I just got to work and it wasnt terrible.but I drove really slow and it toom me 45mins instead of 20! Be careful!!!!

I got up early, left 30 minutes earlier than I usually do. I spun out twice! I turned around and came home. I'm going to try again in about an hour!
Be careful! it's really disgusting out there.

I just shoveled myself out (Brookhaven). Pretty bad. Haven't hit the main roads but hopefully they are a bit better.

DH cleared off my car and shoveled a bit then took me to the train. I grabbed a coffee at 711 and then got on the 7:01 out of Bethpage that got into Penn at 7:55. Not bad.
I got in about 15 mins later than I should have.

I left at 5:15- i refused to drive since the roads werent plowed. What takes me 1/2 by car and 1 hr by public transportation took me almost 2 hrs this morning taking the bus and train. DH said it was crazy slippery out there- he skidded a few times driving

The snow was a lot deeper in Nassau than here in the city. There is practically nothing here! Be careful if you're driving!

We must work together. My co-worker actually showed up EARLIER today than she does on a normal day and she was still 20 minutes late.
The trains were running fine. Nothing was really shoveled when I left at 7:00 AM, but the snow is soft and not slippery. I wore my wellies and thick socks and it was nothing to get into work.
ETA: I'm coming from Elmhurst, Queens.

I went with my DH this morning and got the 6:09 train out of Babylon. We left Islip at 5:40 and were the only car on the road other than ploughs and sanders.
