Let's pretend you are a chicken cutlet
No, no this is a visualization not a recipe thread...
Let's say you're a breaded chicken cutlet who was fried in vegetable oil but you were a stubborn chicken cutlet. You decided to brown on the outside only & stay pink on the inside. Maybe it was because the little girl in the house loves the color pink. It could even be because someone is cooking impaired.
If I were to put you in the oven, how long would you stay before you're white inside? (seriously, no racism here...the outside is already black & I really don't like the outside & the inside to match)

It will probably only take less than 10 minutes.Keeping a close watch on it of sourse.turn it over at the 5 min mark! If it's a thick cutlet maybe a bit longer

I love this question, since I know it's coming from a fellow undomestic diva
You probably dont need the answer anymore, but I would but the cutlet in the oven for 10-15 minutes on 350.

Re: Let's pretend you are a chicken cutlet
If I were the cutlet, I would want you to put me out of my misery. If you burned me so bad on the outside, my insides would be hurting too and I wouldn't want to be subjected to more. Besides, how good will I taste after the outside (best part) is overdone?
BTW-Not a vegetarian...just answering as a chicken cutlet.

i agree
what i usually do is literalyl brown the chicken on both sides (1-2 minutes on each side) in a frying pan, then i will bake for 25 minutes at 350
usually comes out great

Re: Let's pretend you are a chicken cutlet
don't know how long in the oven, but I can tell you that the reason it happened is b/c the chicken cutlets were too thick. the same thing happened to me. so now when I fry them, I use the thin cut ones.

Yes but then I would have to touch them to cut them. I would rather just pound the heck out of them with a hammer. Yes, yes poor chicken cutlet.

Um...where were you when I needed you LAST NIGHT?? You weren't online! I think I need to get a Bat Phone installed in your house for these types of emergencies.

I always buy the Fit and Trim ones for this reason. I am too lazy to cut them in half!

Re: Let's pretend you are a chicken cutlet
man..my chicken cutlet head is hurting...
You had the heat too high..the oil got too hot and burned me! Next time adjust the dial to medium..yes, there is a medium setting on the dial.
It will be like an oil jacuzzi..ahh...nice..2-3 minutes on each side..once on side is brown, flip me..
Ok, I think i've gone off the deep end..
