Re: Lets talk about bras...I need help

I would look for a specialty bra store near you to get a good fitting. As for good larger sized bras try Medela or Bravado. HTH

in all seriousness, best bet- go get measured at a specialty store.. Kinda pricey but it will save you from additional backpain

Not sure where you are located but Blum's in Patchogue is a great place. It's on Main Street. Kinda $$ but they will measure you and they are very helpful and big variety too

only problem I see, is getting of off ... ouch!

I love my new Bra-llelujah! The All-Hosiery Comfort Bra, it helping me so much as my chest is so sore everything hurts.

spanx

At some point though, I will probably need a real bra, I plan on going to bratenders. I used them before and I anticipate if my size changes I'll need their guidance again.

They are in the city and you need an appointment, but I gotta tell you its an invaluable experience!

Try Georgette's in Hicksville- they will measure and fit you, and they have a great selection.

Re: Lets talk about bras...I need help

I am liking the Lane Bryant bras. I was normally a 36DD and now wear a 38F...it's a tad big, but so soft and comfy and you can't tell there is a bit of room to grow. I have had NO luck in finding a good fitting maternity bra and to be honest am worried about having to get nursing bras in the future. Anyway......Lan Bryant is always running sales and I got my bras buy 1 get 1 50% off so it was VERY reasonable...HTH

If you find out, let me know. I got a 38E at Motherhood and I really like it, but I know when these monstrosities get bigger, I will need something else. Did you try Motherhood?

Re: Lets talk about bras...I need help

I also reccomend Blums in Patchogue..They were so helpful!! I find full coverage to be the most comfortable. And the straps are thicker for more support. I went from a 32DD to a 36DD so far. I hope they dont get too much bigger....Chat Icon

I love Great Shapes in Roslyn. But they only carry up to a size G (not sure if that's a problem for you). Chat Icon

I only wear minimizers and swear by Fantasie. If you're under an E, the Answer is also a great, supportive bra.

Re: Lets talk about bras...I need help

I have a bra question. When you buy nursing bras do you buy your reg size and they r naturally cut bigger b/c duh they r nursing bras- or do u have to go up in sizes like u would with normal bras since ur boobs r obviously a lot bigger? I was thinking of registering for a few so this is why I ask...

I would purchase a bra that is sized S,M,L,XL for the hospital and after your milk comes in go and get fitted for a bra. I would not register for a bra. For DS I went from a 36 D to a 38 DDD when my milk came in.
