Let's talk about Guest Rooms

Ok, I have 2 guest rooms to furnish eventually. My question is, what size beds do you have in yours? Did you get a top quality mattress or one that is "average"?

I am making 1 of the guest rooms an Office as well, so I will most likely put a nice futon couch in there.

well one of ours will have our old queen size BR set in it for now. And the other BR will just be an office with a chair in it for reading.

I have a full bed in one guest room and a trundle bed in the other.

We have a full size bed in there right now and I desperately need to re-design that room. Not to mention tall the others, lol!

I'd get an average bed, queen sized at least. If a couple stays over you don't want them squeezing onto a full, kwim?

We have a full in the 1 room...the other room is our study/office.

our 4 bedrooms are- 1 master, 1 nursery, 1 guest with a queen size mattress, and 1 is an office

the office is on first floor the others are upstairs.

Since we gave each of our kids their own room, our spare bedroom on the house doubles as our office and guest room. So we went with a full sized bed and small night stand. We are currently in the process of re-doing it, so things may change as we go along.

We only have a futon and dresser. But we don't have many house guest. Usually just my MIL or my daughter when she comes home. But from what they say the futon is very comfortable.

We have queens in both guest bedrooms. One is a pillow top and the other is a less expensive (but still comfy) mattress.

One guest room = office. We bought a nice wood and metal frame futon to place in there, along with a book shelf and a desk for the computer. There is also a filing cabinet.

2nd guest room = double bed with a dresser, chair and a mirror on the wall. Throw rugs on either side of the bed.

Guest Bedroom #1: will be our nursery eventually. We have my old twin bed in there & also have a queen air mattress. It has worked for us the both times we had my parents stay over.

Guest Bedroom #2: is our gym, so nothing in there but we can always fit a air mattress in there

We also have a queen pull out couch in our living room

guest bedroom #1 is an actual big bedroom with a bureau, tv, armoire and queen size bed. 2nd guest bedroom is an office.

We have our old queen bed in our guest room right now, we decided instead of getting a new bed for that room, we'd get a new bed for ourselves and just move that bed over.

Our other guest room is our office and we'll use the Aerobed in there until we buy a futon.

HI! this is my 1st post I'm sneaking over from LIW...

We are so bad, we have 3 extra bedrooms - 1 is my sewing room, 1 is DHs office and the third is being used for storage

...there is a futon in the garage, so far the only guest we have had overnight is my SIL and she slept on the couch ...we should probably do something about this

I have two as well in this house.
Put an older Queen size mattress in one and have a twin in the other. Also have an extra family room on the lower level of my house that has a full sized full out bed.
In my other house I had the pull out couch in the office.

We have a queen in the guest room only because we upgraded to a king in our room. Our 3rd bedroom is empty, hoping to turn it into a nursery one day...

We will have one for DH's office which will not be used for a bedroom. One will be set up like a regular bedroom with our current queen bed (can't wait to get our king bed!!
), nightstands, etc. The third will have a futon in it and be my office until we have a baby. Then it will become a nursery and I will move my workspace to the third floor.

We will have 3 guest rooms, The first one we will put our queen size bed, wich is a pillowtop kings down mattress, very very comfy.
and our dark wood furniture, wich is 2 nitestands and a dresser. and headboard and footboard.

#2 we will put our queen sleeper couch, wich is about 2 years old, barely used, with our wall unit from our old apartment wich is 2 years old as well, we bought it from levitz and its really nice.

#3 I think we will leave this empty.

our guest room has a full size bed, the room is furnished with my grandmother's furniture & her bed was a full. We bought a middle of the road mattress & boxspring.
I also have a queen aero bed with the legs that fits in our exersise room if needed.
My son has a sofa in his room & a full size beds so his over night guests stay in there with him.
My daughter has a twin with a trundle so her guests stay in her room with her.
we can comfortably sleep 8 guests, we we do once a year.
