Lets Talk about Weight Gain..
Okay how are all of the recent mommies doing in the weight area?? I am 12 weeks postpartum now and still have 13 pounds to go and i only put on 40 and had 13 pounds of baby in me!! The thing that stinks the most is that I had to go back to work and since i am now a size bigger I had to spend like $400 on new work clothes.....
The scale just does not seem to be dropping past that 13 pound number....I have not had time to exercise, but i really have been trying to eat really healthy....
For the btdt moms...what was your experiences if you care to share...how much did you gain, did you lose it all and if yes how long did it take??

Re: Lets Talk about Weight Gain..
I gained 29lbs and lost over 40lbs within the 2 weeks following delivery - it was unbelieveable how much water weight I had! I have gained back about 6lbs in the past 10 weeks.

Re: Lets Talk about Weight Gain..
I gained 30 lbs and lost 40 by 8 weeks post partum. But I was still a bigger size in clothing. Finally a year later and after surgery to repair my hernias and stomach I am down to clothes that fit me before pregnancy, but they don't fit right. Everything is now different.
I had to really watch what I was eating to lose any weight, which was very hard in the beginning because there was no time to do that. I still have a bunch more weight to lose though.

Re: Lets Talk about Weight Gain..
I gained 74 pounds...I still cant believe how much was water weight. I did NOT look like I gained that much. I lost 60 right away. I have 1 more week till I go back to work and my clothes are a little snug. If i had the time....like I dont know where that would come from, all I nned to do is do some excercises I can drp that extra 10--15 pounds

Re: Lets Talk about Weight Gain..
I gained about 45 pounds and I still have about 15lbs to loose and it's been 9months. It doesn't seem like my stomach is going down. I need exercise.

Re: Lets Talk about Weight Gain..
Gained about 40, at 2 weeks postpartum I had 8 to lose BUT nothing fits the same. I feel like my body is back to normal but my clothes show differently! Oh well a new wardrobe is fine with me!

Everyone says that but I never really knew what they meant. Now I do! I heard your pelvis expands to give birth - I guess it never goes back! I refuse to buy the next size up in pants so I will work out like crazy and somehow that my body does some day go back to what it was! And if not oh well I guess, I still feel pretty good for giving birth to twins!

I second that!! If there has to be a reason for a stretched out tummy, let the reason be that you carried and gave birth to TWO beautiful babies!!
