lets talk beta HcG
so i went to my dr. and they sent out my beta hcg on sunday. i called today to get results and i was told that the lab they sent my blood to No longer does that test...    so when i spoke to the medical assistant (mind you i used to work there so iknow them VERY well) i said can you call the lab and see whats going on. so she put me on hold and then came back to tell me that they had a round about number and based on old protocol it places me anywhere between 3 and 6 weeks  so please tell me what your #'s were around that time frame please. b/c now im freaking out and im upset that the dr. didnt call me to tell me that this was going on!

that BITES that the doctor didn't feel it was important enough to call you! seriously - ANGRY for you....
i can give you all my beta numbers - but my problem is i am not positive how far i was along when...because they kept changing their opinion....

Ummm I'm not sure how she could give you a "number that places you between 3-6 weeks" An individual number tells you nothing..it is the rise between 2 days of tests that tells you what is going on. Also there is such a wide variation of normal ranges that is just ridiculous. Google beta hcg klevels and you will see what I am talking about

thanks!!  i actually just went to my maternity books from nursing school and was able to look up the "round about #" that they gave me and it puts me right where i thought iwas so im not so concerned but just ****** that i didnt get to talk to the doc. ill have to go there tomorrow! im still good firends with him and hell prob feel bad that im upset!

I'm not sure if this will help you but I got my HcG results today and I am 5 weeks and mine was 516 on Tuesday

That seems good, do you have any idea how far along you are? If you do, you can google HcG and it should tell you an "average" based on how far along you are.
