Let's talk CBEFM

I "might" consider the CBEFM next month.

Some Qs

How do you like it vs the regular/digital OPKs?

Also, since cycles are never completely exactly the same. Let's say it did not work on month 1. It says that you need to say when you start month 2. Do you do that manually? Does the monitor track monthly and it's done? Or does it track over a period of several month? Or does it even matter if it only tracks per month and not more than 1 month at time and gets reset?

1 more Q
Where do you buy it? I did not see it at Target.

TIA

I've seen them at CVS - or many people buy new ones from Ebay.

I liked it much better than OPKs. There's no interpretation required whatsoever, and you can use FMU and don't have to hold in your urine for 4 hours.

There's a button to set when you get AF (I think that's what you're asking).

On the Clearblue Easy website, you can read the instructions to the CBEFM online.

I love it!
I thought I had a chemical pregnancy last month and if I would have used just the digital Clear Blue Easy tests I would have ran out of the 7 sticks in no time!
I actually got my first egg symbol on CD 23 so I was so happy to have all those extra sticks and not worry about it!

I would buy it from Ebay. I got mine for about $100. The test box (30 sticks) I got for around $30.
If you have a short cycle you may be able to use 10 sticks per cycle. I have a longer cycle so I usually run out by the third month.

You set the monitor when you get your period. I always set it on CD 2 and then set the monitor on CD2 so it is in synch with my cycle. You have to set it around the time you will test everyday when you wake up and it gives you a three hour window before and after that time. For example if you set it at 6am you can test from 3AM until 9am.
It will tell you to insert the stick and when to take it out.

I had no trouble using it the first month. I had a few high days and then peak. Some people need for the monitor to get used to their bodies.
I have had the monitor go from low to peak. It explains what that means in the directions.
**You still POS the first month but it might take a while to get to know your body. It tells you when to POS.

I have used it for quite a while now and I love being able to put the info in FF or mymonthlycycles.

Go for the one from Amazon... it comes with 3 months supply of the test sticks... I think I paid 170 for it with rush Shipping and Handling and tax.

I bought one from ebay. I loved it. I knew exactly when my "high" and "peak" days were. I wound up selling it after one month as I needed the money Chat Icon but I plan to use it in the future

I really like it too!!
The first month I used the OPK in addition to the CBEFM. I got the happy face on the same day that I got a peak reading.

Re: Let's talk CBEFM

I used the OPK before using CBEFM. I could never really tell when I O'd with the OPKs. I wasn't a good reader of the lines and always 'thought' there was a line when in fact there wasn't (per DH). I started to think that maybe I wasn't BD on the right days. Although I did follow my GYN's rule of BD on CD 12, 14, 16 and 18 to cover all the days.

With the CBEFM it tells you when to POAS and when you don't. It tells you when you are at your peak and when you O. After the second month it was dead on with my O days and AF days. Even when my grandmother passed away in Feb. and my O and AF days were way off, in March CBEFM was back to normal. It's a great investment!!
