Let's talk cold mist humidifier and DC's congestion
Did you notice a difference in your DC's breathing/congestion if you used a cold mist humidifier at night?

my mother swears by it...I'm going to get one tomorrow and see because DS is congested as well. I know from my own experience (being my mom's daughter) i always had one running in my room as a kid and especially when the heat goes on it is helpful so as to not be so dry when you wake up.

I'm wondering if I should get one....DDs nose is always so stuffy, especially in the morning. I always have to use the saline and the nasal aspirator.

We use it every time DS is sick & we do notice a difference. I think it works really well. My doctor told me only use the cool mist one.

Re: Let's talk cold mist humidifier and DC's congestion
DS congestion has had a cold with congestion for a month now... I've been using cool mist humidifer for the past week. I don't know if I necessarily notice a huge difference, but I figure it can't hurt, so I keep putting it on.
Hope your DS feels better soon!

just one quick thought.... i have asthma, and whenever the moisture level kicks up, it brings on more attacks. be careful when using this for DS, because if he's one of those who can't tolerate the moisture... u may bring on more congestion than help...

You want to keep the air moist to loosen up any phlegm - it helps them cough it up easier.
