LET'S TALK CRIB TENTS and little monkeys (aka DS)

While I was at work on Saturday, DH reported that DS "started" to lift his leg to climb out the crib. I thought that was so cute. Chat Icon He is climbing everything now.

Yesterday, DS was in his crib with DH and I looking at him. He started to "climb" again. We looked at each other with "aaww"Chat Icon . THEN, his legs actually went all the way to the top of the rail and he started pulling. No more "aaww" but Chat Icon Chat Icon

So I only put him in the crib wearing his sleep slack.

I am scared that if I convert his crib to a daybed (even with a rail) he is going to get out of bed everytime he is in it. Also, he is still all over his crib when he sleeps. So in addition to get up in the middle of the night, he might still fall off the rail while sleeping.

If you got a crib tent, did it work for you?

Is anyone looking to get rid of theirs or selling it?

TIA

DD climbed out of her crib and fell on her back at 19 months. That night we went out and got a crib tent - I was not taking any chances. It took a day or so to get used to (more for us because I felt bad "locking" her in) but we've been using it for the last 8 months and love it. She's 27 months now and we can probably start transitioning her to a bed soon but this has been a miracle for us. She would never sleep if it weren't for it.

YES!!! It saved me. I still use it and she is 2. She can't get out of it at all and actually loves it.

So worth the money!! If you do get one, get the one that DOES not go under the mattress, it is a pain to change the sheets.

Thanks for the tip! I thought they all attached to the top rails. Obviously, I am clueless.Chat Icon
