Let's talk HEADBOARDS on beds...

Do your kids have them? Do kids need them? Does it make a big difference in a bedroom?

Reason why I am asking - we are buying new furniture for DD's room and I cannot justify spending so much $$ on a headboard and/or footboard. I never had one growing up. Is it worth it to complete the "look" of a room, or just another extra that is not needed?

Discuss - thanks! Chat Icon

It's not really needed, but I think it "completes" a room.

When Jared got his big boy furniture, he got a headboard and a dresser. I love the look of a headboard. It really completes the room.

You could always make one...we have one with old shutters we are going to use in our room, since we don't want to buy new furniture yet...I have also seen a lot of cute ones for little girls using picket fencing or draped fabric that coordinates with the bedding...
