Let's talk Mother's Day....
I realized that it's less than a month away and if we are to make reservations we should do them soon - last year everywhere we really wanted to go was booked.
SO, what's everyone's plans? I think I am getting sick of the mother's day brunch thing - it's always so crowded!! Anyone doing an early dinner instead?

For the last several years, we go to the Curry Club in Stony Brook. DW, SIL, MIL and my mom are the celebratees of the day. There's never a huge crowd at an early dinner there.

We go to DH's grandma's place around mid afternoon.

I will actually be surprising my mom in Maine. My dad is picking me up at the airport on Saturday & my mom has no idea. I am sure we will be doing a BBQ or something by the lake...
Last year we had a BBQ at our house with all the mom's (aunts, godmother's & our mom's) at our house. It worked out wonderfully but this year my parents are not living here...

Awwww that is so sweet.
The day before is my Birthday, so, I'm hoping DH and I can go to a nice dinner to celebrate both my Bday and Mother's Day.
On Mother's Day we will probably go to breakfast at my inlaws and then my parents for dinner. At my parents we will most likely celebrate:
My Birthday
Mother's Day
My parents Anniversary (is May 13th)
All in one!

If my MIL had her way we would be spending the day breaking our backs doing her gardening, and my mom likes us to come over for dinner.
Soooo...hopefully we can do the morning with MIL and his grandmother, then around noon head to my moms.
Lets see the argument that insues.

We're taking my mil to see a show on Saturday. My DH is working on Mother's Day so I'll probably visit my mom and then have dinner at home with the girls.

For the past 3 years, I have made Mother's Day at my house. It is the only holiday I am "allowed" to host so I take advantage of what I can  I make a luncheon.

We never go out, too much with the crowds. We always go to my uncle's or have everyone to our house for dinner and then cake/coffee. The moms do nothing and everyone else pitches in.
