Let's talk sheds....
Where did you get it? How much approx? size? We are thinking of getting one and we went to a place the other day and we felt like we were getting the "bumbs rush" becuase the guy wanted to go home and they were supposed to be open another hour, he gave us all this literature and left. The one he quoted us was 2,100! I do not mind spending $$, but am so confused on size, etc. HELP! Also, if anyone has any pictures of there's can u post it? TIA!

Re: Let's talk sheds....
I went to Lowes - I paid $1100 for a Vinyl coated Steel shed. It is made by Lifetime, and it comes with a floor. You still will need a foundation if you are not putting it on a flat surface.
My shed is 8X12.5
It has a window on each side and 5 skylights on top for added light. It is 100% waterproof and it is huge on the inside.
I already put everything from my garage in there and I still have more room left over.....
This is the company's website Scott

DH bought one from Man Products in Amityville. What's cool about them is that you can always build onto their sheds. It's going to cost about $1700 for us to expand his, but it'll be huge! And, we're adding a window.

Re: Let's talk sheds....
Kaufolds out in Suffolk, I believe in Ridge. Family run business, I would highly recommend them. Paid around $3200 and had a choice of siding, shutters etc, ours is 8 x 14. The quality we found was much better than the stuff @ HD or Lowes(but with a pricetag). It's built just like a house....it has electricity so occasionally I lock my DH in there for some peace and quiet We are pleased with it Image Attachment(s):

WOW thats nice - Is that a fountain on the sside of the Shed?
I want to decorate around my shed.....I am going to plant flowers and bushes there in the spring....Maybe put a little picket fence around it. I have Bricks and I am going to lay a little path in front of the shed....And I also have a park bench that I am going to renovate over the winter to put near the shed...
My shed looks like a little house too - but it is made of vinyl.

Re: Let's talk sheds....
DH and my father built ours. (so you can get an idea of the size)
(we still have to put plantings in the front and paint the windows.)
It's 12x16
He got the plans from online. The materials cost $4000 (he used architectural shingles, cedar for the doors and paid a pretty penny for the hardware on the doors.)

Re: Let's talk sheds....
I live in Nassau and we don't need a permit/pay taxes for our shed unless we want electricity in it.
I would check with your town.

You have to check with the town. Some don't require any permits or C/os but they have to be a certain amount of feet from the property line and over a certian size requires a permit or C/O in most towns.
