Let's talk toys....when you started & when you stopped

At what age (if you remember) did you start and stop...

The swing
the bouncy chair
the exersaucer
the playgym
the highchair

And anything else I haven't thought of

Thought this would be good for all the new moms and some oldChat Icon

I can't anwer the stopped portion, but I'll respond to try to help!

bouncy set- didn't want anything to do with it unitl about 6 weeks.

swing- about 2 weeks and still going strong(she's 5 months), she takes most naps in there.

exersaucer- 3 months, still going strong. She LOVES it!

playgym- I bascailly started with this right away. She still uses it daily.

highchair- 4 months, still using.

Re: Let's talk toys....when you started & when you stopped

Can't really say when she stopped b/c she is still using all this...

Swing she started at 2 weeks
Bouncy Chair 2 weeks....but for bothe she didn't become REALLY interested in them until 8 weeks...meaning she could stay in them for awhile and entertain herself

Playgym 1 week

Bumbo seat 12 weeks

Exersaucer and highchair didn't start yet

Swing i started at like a week old.. still using it. Naps in it in the mornings.

Bouncy seat about 2 weeks old, stopped using it at about 4 months, he was way to long for it.

Exersaucer started at 4 months, still use it, but he gets very bored of it rather fast. Would rather be in his walker mobile.

Playmat, never used one. He was so colicky that he could never be put down long enuf to enjoy it.

Highchair started at about 6 months, and still using it...Chat Icon

The swing - from day 1 with both my kiddies. Up until they were too big, for us that was 6 months.

the bouncy chair - also from day 1. Until about 6 months too.

the exersaucer - from 4 months to about a year.

the playgym - 2 months until 5 months, give or take.

the highchair - started at 4 months when we started solids, and I still use it for my 2+ year old!

Re: Let's talk toys....when you started & when you stopped

Swing: since we brought her home from the hospital. She goes through phases of liking it and not liking it.

Bouncy seat: since day one. She loved this at first, then hated it and now loves it again, but she is too long for it now. I'm going to buy a different one for her.

Exersaucer: don't have one yet. Am getting one soo because she can sit up pretty well.

Playmat: she LOVES this. We've used it since about 4 weeks old.

Bumbo: Just got this from Corinne last night. We put her in it, but she didn't sit up because she just kept going for her toesChat Icon

High Chair: Not yet.
