I've asked two of my former bosses to write a letter of recommendation for me, but they both asked me "let me know what kind of information they want".

I've never had a letter of rec. written for me. I'm applying for the NYC school secretary license. What information should I tell them?

I could only think of: hard working, punctual, able to balance priorities and respond to deadlines. Known for reliability, exceptional organization skills, quality of work product and timely completion of projects.

Anyone apply for this license? Is that the information they're looking for?
