Letters of Resignation?
Can it be done via email? Or do I have to type it up and hand it to someone?

Re: Letters of Resignation?
in your position, with your title, i would write it up on nice paper, and seal it with a kiss.
you want to keep that bridge strong and steady.

so the going around and rubbing it on my azz and saying "eff you, eff you, eff you, like you, eff you" won't cut it?

I'm leaving this life, and entering a new life, but will still be going strong for the double life!

Re: Letters of Resignation?
Definitely a hard copy addressed to your immediate supervisor with a CC to HR. Want that for your records and theirs!
Best of luck in your new endevours!

Re: Letters of Resignation?
Thanks so much ladies - I think I'll just pull my managers into a meeting and send the email with a Word document attached. Since we have a "virtual" HR department, I'm not sure whether I need to do anything on my end.
I hope it goes well - I always get so nervous about things like this!!!!!
Stay tuned!!!

Re: Letters of Resignation?
I always did the "old fashion way". I took my boss in a conference room, informed her/him of my decision and handed my letter and cc'd HR.

Re: Letters of Resignation?
Not by email! If you are resigning you need to tell your boss and present the letter at the same time.
