Letting distant friends know about the birth
Ok, so DH and I were preparing our cell phones so all the phone numbers are in there so my DH can send out one big text message with a photo to inform everyone about the baby's birth (so he doesnt' have to call everyone, just so close friends/family).
Now I have some people in my life I've drifted from that honestly haven't even really cared about the fact that we are expecting. Would you send them the text anyway?

Probably not, but might drop an email once I was home and somewhat settled.

Re: Letting distant friends know about the birth
we have a IMMEDIATELY after birth list...close friends....close people involved in our lives...and a list that isn't such a rush...I figure he can just tell MIL or FIL and tehy can call his brothers..its a tense situation there for us....
