Level II Sono concerns! Please help!
I went for my level 2 sono today. Everything was going great until the end. The dr said that there was calcium in the baby's intestines. There are a few reasons for this- one being downs syndrome. Anyone have experience with calcium in the baby's intestines?
Please I am a nervous wreck!!!!

Did you get an amnio? Have you had any other testing? I hope everything is okay.

I would have the amnio to ease your mind. I had one and its not that bad. Totally worth the peace of mind!

Re: Level II Sono concerns! Please help!
Thanks for your well wishes, ladies!
The other possibilities are CF, an infection that I passed on to the baby or there could have been blood in the sac and the baby drank it!
Although the next 4 months are going to be torturous, we have decided not to have an amnio. I am really not comfortable with the risks and since we will not terminate, we do not want to take unneccessary risks.

Re: Level II Sono concerns! Please help!
Can't they do other tests, other than an amnio to see what this could be?
It's not fair to you and your family that you have to wait when there are so many advances in medical technology.
that all is ok.
