Level II Yesterday...Little Nervous...
So my Level II was yesterday. Baby is fine!! That's the important part. But my cervix has shrunk and I have to go back for another sono on Monday. The doctor said if this keeps up or doesn't get better I'm going to have to get a stitch put in! Yuck!! Anyone else have this? Anyone else have advice for how to prevent this or prevent early bedrest?

I havent had this and unfortunately, I dont know how to fix it, but my cousin had this... you are lucky they found it early! She was not as fortunate with her first pregnancy... but she has 3 beautiful girls and each one had the stitch put in.. it kept her on her feet and out of bed rest I think... hope everything works out for you!

I don't believe there is anything you can do to prevent it - but a lot of women on here have had a cerclage. I believe it's a fairly simply procedure and it keeps your little one safe until he/she is ready to come out

My friend's wife has had it with each of her 4 pregnancies. She was very nervous about it at first, but she said the procedure was not that bad. All of her children were born very healthy!

I know someone who has had it 3 times, no problems at all.
I wonder if they would consider giving you progesterone, which is what they did for Snickers when her cervix was shrinking. You should FM Snickers, she just went through this..
Also, I was wondering, have you ever had cervical issues before (such a Leep or Cone)? That is very common to need a stitch after having cervical injury...
