LI Has Met Another Metric

We are now waiting on a 14-day decline in hospital deaths (we are at day 4) OR fewer than 5 deaths on a 3-day average (we are at 15)

We are also expected to meet the criteria for 30 contact tracers per 100K residents.

So they are not counting the contact tracing as a number, which makes us still at 5. Before we met that additional metric, we were at 5.

Yes but we hadn’t previously met the metric for new hospitalizations, which we met today.

Right, this was the other day. And it still said 5. So it was counting the contact tracing, which is my point. So if I'm counting, we are at 6, not 5 Chat Icon

But they are really 4 when you add in the contact tracing, like it was the other day. They have the same metrics missing today as the other day's chart posted above.

I actually hope LI waits for NYC. Only because if we don't, our restaurants & stores will be mobbed with people from the city. They can't stop them from coming in. I understand why they will come, but it just doesn't seem feasible, or safe, for us to open long before them.

I would not be surprised if the hospitalization numbers aren't correct on the weekends. Cuomo has said that weekend numbers aren't always accurate. If you look at the Newsday charts, etc all the reporting numbers crater on the weekend and then Monday/Tuesday they skyrocket. Probably because a human has to submit their numbers and they only work Mon-Fri.
