I think $130 is on the low end. If you run your AC during the day, have a two story house, and/or have CAC expect to pay a lot more.
$50 of our last bill was just fuel surcharge... our bill should have been $115 but instead was $165 just with the surcharge. Even though they bought the fuel they are using now TWO years ago

Oh please, don't even get me started on LIPA. PLease. I live in a one bedroom apartment, and last summer, they tried to tell me I used 400 dollars a MONTH in electricity and we were HARDLY EVER HERE We were house sitting for someone else, and so we weren't here to put the A/C on or anything. We argued and they finally took off about 600 dollars in over-charges, but I can see it now. I literally use 55 dollars a month in electricity right now, but they always seem to charge me three times as much, then once they have my money, go back and "adjust" it. LIPA is such a scam.

I have a 1 bedroom apartment- we only run one AC at a time- they are large ACs
our bill in the summer goes up to a little over a hundred from $70 in the winter

They told me it's based on what the person who lived here the year before us used since they estimate the readings. Ok, fine, then how come my ACTUAL readings were still so high? We're convinced that someone was stealing electricity from us because we complained to our complex, who oh-so-conveniently keeps the meter room locked, and miraculously the next month our bill went down We had to argue for MONTHS to get LIPA to get rid of the charges. Finally they did, but it's so stupid because even now, the estimated readings are SO high when our actual readings are miniscule.

Augh... this makes me feel so much better about our decision to move to NC. I hate how expensive Long Island is getting and it makes me really sad that it will never be like it used to when I grew up.
