FI and I are planning on taking a boat trip this weekend - we're from Rockland. We're going to be taking our boat over to LI (LI Sound side) and docking at a marina for the weekend. I dont think we want to go up too far - we were thinking the Huntington, Northport, Port Jeff areas. We're not familiar with this part of LI though and we wont have a car to get around.

Any suggestions of places to shop, eat, things to do, etc?? We'll mostly be close to the marinas but we're willing to take taxis to visit a few places. And can anyone recommend the BEST marina area?
