someone at work is selling it. nice stuff, but kinda pricey...
my boss and co-worker have tons of their jewelry and they always look so nicely put together.
just wondering how the quality is. does it tarnish? if you have very sensitive skin, are there any allergy issues?

Re: Lia Sophia
I think it is $$ for the quality. It just feels light weight and flimsy. There is no heft or substance to it.....

I have a few pieces, and I like them, but I looked at A LOT of stuff before I found 2 pieces I liked. I think it's hit and miss. Not worth the money, but if you find a great piece it can be....

I asked her to bring in some samples for me to look at. if I'm spending that much for costume jewelry, I want to see/touch it first.
I honestly cannot stand this though - I always feel obligated to buy something from people selling at work I just feel like - if I want something, I'll find you. I don't need magazines dropped off at my desk

This happened to ME today! it's so annoying! this woman I used to know had a job at a place that did not allow any kind of selling on their premises. she used to sell Avon and whined to me about having to stop. but I was thinking to myself... must have been nice for everyone else

Re: Lia Sophia
I've been to a couple of parties and have some pieces I bought that I love (I get a lot of compliments on in particular).
I wouldn't just buy it from the catalog though. A lot of things I liked in the catalog I didn't like in person, and vice versa.

Re: Lia Sophia
It's decent quality, but I still think it's overpriced for what it is...can find similar stuff at mall stores like NY&CO.

i can't stand when one of my co-wokers leaves me a catalog on my desk. i think it is very rude and pushy!

Re: Lia Sophia
Definitly look at them in person before buying from the catologe. The good thing though, as long as you keep your receipt you can return it and get something else when ever you want. So lets say in 4 years you don't like it anymore you can exchange it. It also has a lifetime warrenty. I only have one bracelet from them and I love it. They are $$ though.

I get them off of ebay and it's cheaper. I have quite a few pieces that I get tons of compliments on.

Re: Lia Sophia
I thought I'd hate their stuff, so when I got invited to one of my co-worker's parties, I didn't plan on buying anything. But I have to say that the things that I've gotten I really love. The quality is good IMO (of the things I bought), and the one piece I have is a slide that's very weighty and is so pretty. The good thing about them, like someone I think already said, is you can return any piece of jewelry anytime you want for something else if you decide you don't like that piece anymore, or if it breaks or tarnishes, etc. It doesn't matter if it's years later; they'll replace it for you.
They also have specials, like buy 2 items get 2 at 50% off. And the 2 items that you get at 50% off are the most expensive items that you've picked. You have to just try on a lot of their jewlery and see what you like. Don't just buy it from the catalog (unless you don't mind returning it) because a lot of times it doesn't look the same in person, or you can't tell if it's flimsy or not.

Re: Lia Sophia
I have a few pieces as well and I'm really happy with them and get complimented all the time. They are pricey, but the pieces I have are not flimsy feeling either. I also bought 2 necklaces as gifts and they loved them too.
I would definitely want to see them in person though - I wouldn't buy it sight unseen. There were a few things I liked in the catalog, but when I saw them on the table I didn't think they were that great.

See if you can look at them in person from one of your co-workers before you buy something.

I have about 4 or 5 of their pieces and I love their stuff. They had really nice things at the party...it was hard not to go nuts with all the buying.

Re: Lia Sophia
I love their jewelry. I had a party last year and got a lot of free stuff for being a hostess. I always get compliments on the necklaces I wear from there. It is kinda pricey though! But it's a nice way to treat yourself :)

I just heard about her stuff on The really Houeswives of NYC. Bethenay was wearing her earrings. They looked very nice.
