Library - What is the youngest age your child can get a library card?
I want to start taking my kids to the library. Initially I always used my card - but i was wondering what is the age that a child can get there own card?
My oldest will be 4 next month, my youngest turned 2 - she would be so excited to get one!

We just got Kaydyn one and she is turning 2 next week. I wanted to sign her up for classes there and she had to have a card to do it. She was so excited to see her pic on it.

DD needed a card of her own to take the little classes they offered at the library so she had one at 18 mths.

That's how I understand it works at my library. We haven't taken any classes yet but I want to get DS a card ASAP.

I was told they could get one at any age. I didn't need it to sign them up for classes, so I haven't done it yet, but I think they were around 6 months when I was told this.

I had to get DD a card to register for a program at the library so she had it at 4 months. I remember when I got mine at 5 years old though..it was such a proud moment!

Our library told me I can get them one whenever I want. We have the option of just getting a little postcard with their information to sign them up for classes or I can get them actual cards. I think next time I'm in, I'm going to get DD her own card (she's 4).
