.Light pink spotting almost 18.5 weeks......update

I am having a major panic attack here and just need any experiences reassurances. I'm about 18.5 weeks and just went to pee and saw a tiny drop of red blood in toilet. After that I wiped kind of hard to see if I saw anything and there was pink on the toilet paper. I called my Drs office and the answering service had him call me back. He asked me if I had had intercourse in the last 24 hours and I told him DH and I had done it this morning. He said he didn't reccommend going to the ER because we would sit around forever and he thinks it was the intercourse, but to call the office at 8am tomorrow morning and come it to have them check me out. I guess this is what I'll do

Of course I am panicking. I've NEVER spotted once this entire pregnancy, not from an ultrasound or intercourse..It seems to me like I would have spotted earlier after one of them if this was something that was going to happen... Of course I am coupling this with the fact that I felt the baby less today than I had in previous days and I'm so scared. Any advice, reassurances would be great.

UPDATE....everything was FINE!!! DH and I went to the doc and he looked at my cervix and placenta and said they all looked great, and probably weren't the cause of the bleeding...He told me it was most likely the intercourse and that if it happens similarly again not to worry and chalk it up to that. The baby looked great and was wiggling around like crazy. Just so relieved that everything was ok!

I don't have any experience with this, but I wanted to extend my hugs to you.... try to stay calm.

I am sure you will get a good report 1st thing in the morning...

i have had similar spotting after intercourse. i think you can be pretty sure that it's the BD that caused this... please try not to worry (i know it's hard!)

I have had spotting after BD, but only once (and we BD more than once ).

I also had spotting after only one internal, not all... so I guess it is not that uncommon.

was just at drs today and they said you can get spotting after BD....

i had spotting 3 x(no bd since i got pg) and each time ive gone to the next dr appt and it be ok- 27 weeks along now

I've had spotting after internals when I was pregnant. Hang in there!

thanks all I've calmed down a bit, since I've been to the bathroom several more times and no more spotting... I'll def get it checked out tomorrow, but its good to know that others have had similar situations
