Lion King vs. Mary Poppins?
I take my mom to a Broadway show every year for her birthday. Which is better: Lion King or Mary Poppins?? Neither of these are my favorite, so i'm having a hard time choosing... Thanks!

I've never seen Mary Poppins -- but seriously Lion King is one of the most awesome shows ever.
It's not "cartoonish" at all, and instead really focuses more on the African music, costumes, and dances. It's just fantastic.

I too can only attest to the Lion King - it was amazing! My 2 year old loved it as did her grandparents!

DH and I saw Mary Poppins last month. We originally chose the show only because we were able to get tickets as part of a buy one get one free promo. We went in expecting it to be cute, but we really did not have very high expectations. OMG, we were really blown away! What a fantastic show! The set, the musical numbers, the special effects, the whole show was really just amazing - what a production! We both enjoyed it so much more than we ever thought we would and I have been recommending it to everyone!!
Of course, I have heard awesome things about Lion King as well. I really don't think you could go wrong with either one. Have a great time!

Lion King definitely. Visual purposes, it was amazing.
Saw Mary poppins and it maybe uses like 3 or 4 songs from the movie. I found it to be a bit blah and Mary Poppins just wasn't Julie Andrews...
