LIPA is offering Customers Rebates for Buying New Energy Efficient AC's

We needed to purchase a new ac and last night I found out that LIPA actually gives between 35 and 50 dollars based on the size of the ac. It's free money because I was going to buy the ac before I even found this out.

I went last night to a couple of places to look at AC's not knowing about the rebate. When i went to haggle the cost of the unit i had a feeling that they were factoring in the rebate as part of my discount b/c they kept empahsizing the rebate.

Not a problem. We just picked up an 8k BTU Samsung for 169.99 and then we had a 15 dollar off coupon. To top it off we got free shipping. Now with this rebate it's another 35 off. If anyone can wait I would check out Circuit City. Only problem is that you have to have them ship most air conditioners.
