Liquid foundation for red skin/brushes
Please recommend your liquid foundation. I need something long lasting that will give me a smooth look. Also, do you use a brush or a sponge to apply ?

Re: Liquid foundation for red skin/brushes
I have sensitive skin. Not always red, but once in a while can be. I use a sensitive Olay lotion first. That moisturizer never bothered my skin and actually always helps. Plus, it has SPF.
MAC foundation with a make brush. Goes on so smooth and covers everything up. I used to use my fingers to apply then I had a tutorial at the MAC counter. THe guy talked me into buying the make foundation brush and cleaners (I already had their other brushes) and I notice a HUGE difference. Much better for my skin too not using my hand and cleaning the brushes once a week. After I apply their mineral powder everywhere but under my eyes. For under eyes use a concealer. Anyway, this is my usual daily routine. I don't use a lot either and looks smooth.

Re: Liquid foundation for red skin/brushes
I have redness on my cheeks. I find that pressing the foundation in works best ( not wiping or buffing.)
You can do this with a brush (just sort of stamp in on your face--a round brush works, but a flat top brush will give denser coverage.) or a sponge like a beauty blender.
My current favorite foundation is Rimmel Lasting finish.
If you want heavier coverage, Estee Lauder Doublewear is good.
If you need extra coverage in certain areas, use concealer. Using a powder that is slightly yellowish helps too.

I would use a primer first that's made for redness. I use Benefit porefessional, I don't think it's meant for that, but it definitely dulls any redness. And Estee Lauder double wear will cover anything.

Re: Liquid foundation for red skin/brushes
I would highly recommend Clinique Redness Solutions; I use it with a sponge.

Re: Liquid foundation for red skin/brushes
No recommendation for foundation but I highly recommend a beauty blender sponge. You soak it with water and then squeeze it out so it's damp and use that to apply foundation to your face. You kind of pat/stamp the foundation all over your face and it makes your skin look airbrushed! No streaks or finger marks, it's great.
