I'm not exactly sure why Port Washington trains have to be cancelled due to a derailment in Jamaica but it's good to know.

I was fine in the morning, but I am definitely going to get screwed this evening. Trains will be jam packed!
Hopefully a lot of people took off work this week.

Those of us on the other branches specifically requested that you guys be included. 
Honestly, it's probably because of the congestion problems they are going to be having West of Jamaica.

It wasn't too bad going in this morning but Penn is always a mess in the evening whenever they have any sort of train cancellations. I absolutely hate when Penn gets that crowded - my claustrophobia kicks in big time!
fingers crossed tonight isn't too bad!

Thanks guys. 
We split off at Woodside so I don't get it. But then they always hammer the Pt Washington line when there are train issues for some reason. I once wrote them when there were system wide delays that required cancellations - of the 16 trains cancelled 8 of them were on the Pt Washington branch. It didn't make sense that 50% of the cancellations came from lines that can't possibly carry that percentage of riders.
Oh well...that is the LIRR mystery. If I ever figure out why or how they do things, i should play lotto because that will be the day I strike it rich.

I just passed through Jamaica and it was quite packed. They are running slow. Trains are being made into locals. The jack knifed train is still across the tracks, with about a hundred MTA workers on site. Lovely controlled chaos.

I meant that my intuition, insight or something must be so finely tuned that I should be able to come up with the winning numbers.

see my train(line) isn't listed but Im thinking that since it stops in Hicksville that many people will get on it because from Hicksville you can get to many diff points east. Basically, I have no clue whats going to happen

I think everyone had that idea. Penn is packed and my train was combined and is wall to wall people... Don't count on a seat tonight.
On the plus side, we left Penn on time. Then again, we're making all stops to Babylon instead of 3...
