little ones with gas
how could i help my little guy out he has so much gas and always look so much in pain. what could i do for him could anyone give me advice for a first time mom

DS had the same problem. When I started putting mylcoin drops into his bottle he was so much better.

I had bought Baby Gas X, and the doc told me to give her a dose right before every meal. I didn't put it in her bottle b/c sometimes she doesn't finish it, and I want to make sure that she is taking the full dose.
So i squirt it in her mouth right before I give her the bottle, making sure that she swallows all of the med b4 giving her bottle....
It has helped tremendously.
I also (under the advice of her doc) have switched her form over to Enfamil Gentlease... It's specifically for gassy babies....

Is DS bottle fed? What bottles/formula do you use?
We had a lot of trouble with DD in the beginning. For us, the mylicon drops didn't really work, but I know that they have helped a lot of people...We switched to the Dr. BRown's bottles and to the Similac Alimentum formula...that's the only combo that worked.
In the meantime, I did bicycle DD's legs and do 'baby sit-ups' (support head and neck with one hand, grab DC's hands with the other and sit them up and back)...that seemed to alleviate immediate discomfort....

The bicycling, and also lowering the knees towards DC's stomach seems to help a little. We switched to a sensitive version of his formula, and that helped tremendously!

When my dd had this, i switched her bottles to Dr. Brown, and got soo much better. She was on BM at that time, so i knew it wasnt formula.

same here. dr. brown's bottles saved our sanity!! they basically took the gas away. other than that, mylecon helped a little.

he is on Enfamil with iron. and we use the avent bottles. i feel so bad for him i dont know what to do for him
