Living To Be 100...
The other day I was watching the news and they mentioned a lady in Mexico that just turned 106 this year. Would you want to live to be 100????
I don't think I would to be honest.

Depends on if DH is alive too, and on my quality of life.

I agree, if DH and I are healthy then sure but if we're slowly fading then no.

I don't know. If I was healthy and in full control of my faculties and had a family... maybe.

If I'm in good health and DH is still alive, then yes.

Re: Living To Be 100...
I don't think so. Though, like others have said, maybe if DH was alive too and we were still in good shape, but even then, seems like a long time. But, my grandma is 90 1/2 and she's doing pretty well aside from aches and pains - and a little hard of hearing, and she still lives in her own place. the one thing that I do think would be fun about being tht age, you can pretty much say what you want, b/c damn it, you've earned it. My gramma comes out with the funniest things sometimes.

Re: Living To Be 100...
I worked in an Assisted Living for 2 years. While there I met a man named Ben. He was a 102 and still very spry. The interesting thing was that he never liked to tell people his age because they would automatically start talking louder, and acting like he was about to die. They'd immediately ask him if he needed a chair, or if he was feeling ok. I always found that funny. But the things he has seen. The saddest part is that he lost his wife in the 60's, when they were in their 60's. He never thought he would live so long without her.
