LL Bean Backpacks -- Junior or Original for K?

I want to get LL Bean Backpacks for my 5yo and 4yo DSs for K and preschool, respectively.

They're both average-sized but should I get
Original Book Pack orJunior Original Book Pack ?

I'd like them to use the packs for several years - what's the better way to go?

I'd get the original.

Also you should be aware that the backpacks will be beat to hell & may not last a year of kindergarten.

But since it's LL Bean, it's guaranteed for life so you can return it for a larger size if it doesn't last.

I would definitely get the junior. That's what my kids have and it fits all their books and folders perfectly and is perfect for their frames... I see kids with regular back packs and they are huge! For the first few years of grade school, they just don't need a big back pack.

Hey, I had no idea! What's awesome! Because my son's is starting to show some wear and tear after three years of abuse!

I am hoping the LL Beans ones will be at least a better investment. I bought both boys some backpacks at TRU this year and they're not doing great at all. At least the Beans ones I can send back if they break/rip/tear.
Thanks!

I bought Pottery Barn backpacks in Kindergarten & they were a mess by the end of the year.

Now I stick to Lands End or LL Bean.

I'd get Jr. My son still uses his in 1st grade. I got my daughter a new one and bought original by accident. It looks bigger than her. She is in K.

I went back and forth & then got one of each. We will still use BOTH of them for years to come. We needed an extra bag for some weekend activities but for school we could have gotten by with only the small one. My son is very small & the big one would have been tough at the beginning of the year.
