Long Island Beach Clubs?

Anyone belong? Is it worth it, my DD will be about 6/7 months this summer?

So far the only one with availability for a cabanna is the Sands..anyone know this one?

The rest seem to all have waitlists? Siverpoint has 35 people on the waitlist...maybe we can get in if a lot of people do not renew.

Any thoughts on the different clubs? Pros and cons of joining one?

I did a share a few years ago at the Sands at Atlantic Beach. It was just ok. It did force us to go to the beach more than usual but in my opinion, it wasn't worth the $$$.

We didn't have a cabana - just a locker so maybe that makes a difference.

I am familiar with Silver Point...I don't love the cabanas there but it's better than nothing IMO if you are a beach lover...or if you just want something to do all summer with your LO.
It is very expensive...once you pay to rent the cabana you have to buy a membership - it adds up and you have to pay to bring guests...there are 2 free guest days during the week though.
It's good for kids - gives you something to do...kiddie pool and playground and stuff.
I know people who love Sands...they are pretty much all the same...I'd do whatever one was least expensive.

My SIL has one at Nickerson and has had one at Atlantic Beach.
