Can you give more details? What do they have there?
What are the days and times?

Re: Long island home expo
i went last year and wasn't that impressed. it was interesting to walk around and see all the vendors and demonstrations but be advised that it is a high pressure sales atmosphere.

Re: Long island home expo
I went last year and it was horrible. Waste of money (you have to pay to park and pay to get in). Really it was just a bunch of vendors giving out their marketing materials.

Re: Long island home expo
But would you recommend this to somebody thats new to the game?
I am buying my first home... and outside of the financials involved... I simply don't have a clue when it comes to home ownership.
I am not handy for the life of me. And my idea of trying to find what I need or who I need to bring in to do various projects.... means asking my LIF buddies.
Its only $9 buks and parking is free.
Can it be that "high sales pitched" if I don't even have a contract signed yet?
I will be in Syosset on Saturday afternoon signing the contracts... so I figured I could check them out afterwards.

it was defintely informative. if it is only $9, it is worth it to check out. we did receive a good amount of coupons.

Re: Long island home expo
I went on Saturday morning. It wasn't too bad.
I don't think I would go back again... but it was good to go to at least once. Since I am new to the game... it was nice to get some ideas on whats out there.
