Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
Anyone use him and the practice? What do you think? I am looking around at other RE's and my cousin used them and was very happy and luckily for me they have an office right in Stony Brook 2 min. from my house. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!!!

Re: Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
I used the practice but did not have Dr. Brenner as my doctor. The practice itself runs very efficient, the nurses are great and it's very convenient with monitoring/sono hours. However, I never got my BFP with them.My sister met with Dr. Brenner and he ran alot of blood work. However a few months lately, she got pregnant naturally so she never really worked with him.

Re: Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
I know someone who used him and had success on her first IVF cycle. I have my first appointment with him on Tuesday for a consult. I will let you know how it goes.
I also know 2 other girls who had success at LI IVF, but I don't know for sure if they saw Dr. Brenner.

Re: Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
After two fresh and one frozen cycle he was a little quick to say I had less than 10% odds to get preggo, than did another test and changed his mind. Needless I was upset when he told me those odds and in the end he didn't have all the test results to make that determination. Needless to say I won't be going back to him. He should know his stuff before he scares someone out of her mind.

Re: Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
I go to LI IVF at Stony Brook and the staff there are all so nice. It's close to my job so the monitoring is definitely convenient, I am usually in and out in about 30 min (an hour if they are super busy but that's rare). I don't see Dr Brenner so I can't provide feedback on that. FYI, monitoring on the weekend is done at Melville and so are all IUIs and IVF procedures.

Re: Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
We use this practice and the nurses and staff are very nice..he came highly recommended from a friend of mine who's had success with him...so far, I have not shared the same success, but am willing to keep trying as we are in our 3rd clomid IUI cycle, so I guess still kind of early in the game. I find that Dr. Brenner is blunt but thorough but to be honest, you don't see too much of the dr. doing IUIs...

Re: Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
I was a patient of Dr. Brenner and was really happy with my care. Although I wouldn't classify him as warm and fuzzy, he was always willing to listen to my questions and concerns, as well as provide me with options. During my time with him, I sought out second opinions with two other REs and still ended up staying with Dr. Brenner. Although, you won't see him for monitoring, he was always quick to return my phone calls and have me the time I needed to ask questions. If you have any questions, feel free to FM me!

I just started with this practice. I didn't see Dr. Brenner but I did go to their Stony Brook office and was very happy with them. Everyone was very nice and took the time to answer all of our questions.

I see Dr, Kenisberg from LI IVF, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

Re: Long Island IVF - Dr. Brenner
I used him and he was nice though I felt like he wasn't getting to the bottom of why I wasn't pregnant. I had one failed IVF and two failed IUIs. I eventually moved to Dr. Braverman and was much happier and got pregnant on his first attempt at IVF with me. Dr. Braverman also found the reason why we weren't getting pregnant (a genetic balanced translocation in my husband). Without this info, I was doomed to go on to having many more failed IVF cycles because I wouldn't have realized that I needed to transfer more embryos than most. I should also add that I did not like going to a large practice because I was constantly being seen by different doctors and nurses. With Dr. Braverman, you only see him! It is much more personal whereas with LIIVF it is a factory.
