Join Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions as the Center Director for Long Island!
The dynamic and results-oriented leader selected for this position will be responsible for all P & L, staffing, sales and marketing, and daily operations of our test prep center. As a motivational manager, the Center Director will develop and implement programs to create a culture of exceptional customer service. He or she will recruit, train and build a strong team that will deliver on revenue goals and lead to the continued growth of Kaplan’s business.
Key job responsibilities:
Direct day-to-day center operations. Manage business to key performance metrics (i.e. sales, student retention, academic excellence and expense management including payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable) Hire, train and supervise center staff, teachers and tutors. Pursue and develop new business opportunities; develop programs to counter competitive activity. Conduct presentations to prospective and enrolled students. Build relationships to increase Kaplan’s visibility and brand recognition on campuses and in schools through grassroots marketing and informational presentations. Design class schedules. Provide enthusiastic, hands-on customer service. Oversee facilities management, of both the local center and off-site locations. Administer visas for international students.
Position Requirements and/or Skills Required:
Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred 5+ years of direct staff management in a service-oriented environment, preferably retail Experience in sales, marketing, business development and P& L management Strong leadership, entrepreneurial, and team motivation skills Passion for customer service and business growth Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong problem solving, decision-making and creative thinking abilities Ability to travel locally and work occasionally during evenings and weekends Must be authorized to work in the United States

FYI, we have filled the Marketing Manager, Precollege Marketing Manager, and Student Advisor jobs.
