Ah, so nice to see the sands on the shores. As I grew up as a teen, Jones Beach was my forte. Summer dates on the boardwalk, and the fresh salt air, created a complete day, and one for the biography. Who's? Mine. Ours!
The beach is a retreat from the hussle and bussle of inner city life. The barefoot walks on wet sand, and the finding of a favorite sea shell is a constant reminder that we are not alone. Perhaps I'll walk the shores again. Soon perhaps. Long Island has a romantic quality to it. It's what you make of it.
