i could swear i heard this morning that changed to 8 percent, still ridiculously high but a lot better than 30 percent.

yep. I think I'll get DH to work for the MTA. This way in 20 years he can go out on disability.
I was sick to read about that.

Any updates on this ???
I can't imagine paying so much more for the same service. I haven't noticed a difference on the LIRR but the E train has been beyond packed lately
