My house is registered on the tour, so if anyone is interested in solar panels, and wants to check out my setup, sign up for this...

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the National Solar Tour? The National Solar Tour is considered to be the largest public renewable energy education event in the world. It is a self-guided tour of homes, businesses and other buildings with solar features including passive solar design, solar hot water and solar-electric generating systems. The Solar Tour is an excellent way to experience first-hand that solar energy really works on Long Island. You can learn about the benefits of solar and other forms of renewable energy, watch electric meters run backwards, see the actual savings on utility bills, and talk to the people who own these systems.
Where are the tour locations? New sites are being added to the tour every day, all over Long Island, so there are bound to be locations near you. For a list of tour sites, go to http://www.renewableenergylongisland.org/tourguests.cfm to get your free Visitors Pass.
Is the tour free? Yes. If you would like to make a donation to support the tour, you can do so by becoming a RELI member at www.RenewableEnergyLongIsland.org/join.cfm
How do I attend the tour? Fill out a simple online form at http://www.renewableenergylongisland.org/tourguests.cfm to get your free Visitors Pass and detailed tour information. You can then choose which locations to visit and make your own itinerary for the day.
What happens after I submit my contact information? You will be automatically redirected to the webpage containing the most up-to-date tour listings. You will also receive your Visitors Pass by email. Print your pass and bring it with you on the tour day. Before you go on the tour, be sure to return to the link provided in your Visitors Pass email to get the final list of tour locations.
Is it ok for me to contact tour hosts? Homes on this tour are owned and lived in by ordinary people who believe their homes have something extraordinary to share. That is why they have opened their doors voluntarily on this day. Please respect the privacy of these generous homeowners do not contact them other than to get more detailed directions on the day of the tour, if you are lost.
Where can I find some general information about solar? http://www.renewableenergylongisland.org/lishines.cfm

Thanks for sharing. Most of the locations seem to be in Suffolk County. Only a couple near me.

Re: Long Island Solar Tour
It's not too late to sign up! There are lots of sites on the tour, including a lot in Nassau county. If you registered already, check out the updated list. If you haven't registered, you should.
