Longchamp
Well now I'm convinced I need one.
I don't know which size of the long handled tote I should get. I feel that if I got the big one I would schlep more stuff but then if I got the medium I wouldn't have enough room and be annoyed I didn't get the big one.
And I love so many other bags they have. I never knew about this!
Those who have one or know, can you help with size?

Re: Longchamp
The Pliage nylon ones?
I want one too. I have been using LeSportsac bags, but the Longchamp are much more tailored & I think would be better for work.
The bag I use now is in between the medium & large (about 13x10), so I am also torn, but I am leaning towards the large.
I need to fit shoes & a ( usually hardcover) book.

Re: Longchamp
I used this bag many years ago when I was commuting. The medium was definitely too small. I often carried, shoes, lunch/snack, book, Sweater etc.

Yeah, I don't want to buy one and then be annoyed I can't take what I need.
I wonder if the large would look too much like an overnight bag.
I would love a leather one too but I will have to save up.

Re: Longchamp
Susan - not sure if they are still open, but there is a handbag store in Woodbury that is going out of business and they had these there. It's the shopping center with Butera's and the store was on the same side of the restaurant.

Re: Longchamp
I second the store in Woodbury, but am pretty sure they are closed..I bought 2 Longchamps from that sale, though..one crossbody and a medium pliage..how much do you realistically carry in a day? That is something to consider-I find i can take the medium if I go into the city and take all my usual stuff (cosmetic case, wallet, sanitizer, etc.) and a book and my Ipod with headphones...the larger one doesn't look like an overnight bag at all..I think it looks smaller and more manageable than an LV tote...and are much lighter! It's a manageable tote, both in weight, size and price...it's deceiving how much you can fit into those bags! Try one!

Maybe I'll just go to a store and check them out. I was looking at some on ebay that were less money but I want to be sure I like it.
Their new line of leathers are gorgeous too.

Re: Longchamp
I am too scared to even look at the leather, but they do make classic, sturdy and attractive bags..there is no law saying you can't go into a store, load up a bag, make sure you like it, and buy it on Ebay...enjoy! Oh, and BTW...there is a Longchamp outlet in Woodbury Commons if you are ever up that way...

Re: Longchamp
I would probably schlep lunch and breakfast, wallet, keys, makeup bag, ipod, real over the head earphones,..can't think of anything else.
I know I schelp a lot in the beginning of the week since I bring my snacks I keep in my desk every week but other days it's not that much.
For instance, today I brought in a box of tissues, clorox wipes, food, water bottle and a book. In another bag I had some other things but I don't usually have that much.

Re: Longchamp
that's nice too. I like that one.
I was leaning toward large. I would like to be able to put a small bag in there that I can just use on the weekends so I don't have to switch anything out.

Re: Longchamp
It's been 20 years since I had a Longchamp bag. I LOVE those bags. I saw them again at RSM and fell in love again!!! Just not in the budget right now.

Re: Longchamp
If you stay in a concierge class room on Celebrity they give you a bag for free that looks exactly like that. Mine has been mistaken for a longchamp bag 3 times now....

Re: Longchamp
I have medium sizes of the pliage and planetes. The large would be too much for me - I can fit my wallet, makeup bag, sunglasses, water bottle, sweater, shoes and a book (plus annoying extra "stuff" that seems to accumulate in a purse that you never need). I use it for commuting. Once I put in my work shoes the fit gets a bit tighter but it still works. If you are shoving a lunch in there, or sneakers, you might need the large.

I would love to see it. I was originally looking for black but maybe beige is good too.
You are not using it?
