Longest flight you have been on with a 1yo
My friend is getting married in Hawaii next April, DS will be 13m at the time. Having him stay home with someone really isn't an option and I really don't want to miss her wedding. Has anyone done that long of a flight with 1yo?

I did 5 hrs. On the way there it was tough but, it was because DS' stomach hurt (long story but, we got a lot of looks as we were deplaning).
Can you break it up over two days - maybe stop in CA for a night?

12 hrs each way when DD was 1 . Again 12 hrs each way when DD was 5 and DS was 9 mo. It was fine, hard, crazy at times, tiring, but fine. You'll be ok. Do it. Bring lots of snacks and toys .

we did 5 hours, it was fine...I mean there were tough moments but I had the kindle ready with elmo dvds loaded and he did ok.
IF you are going to Hawaii you can break it up with the connection on the West Coast, make sure DS runs/crawls does whatever he needs to do to get the energy out

We went to Greece this summer (10hour flight). Bring lots of snacks and buy a few new toys to open up for the first time on the flight. Be prepared to go for lots of walks up and down the aisles.
And just say to yourself 'it is what it is'. In my experience thankfully there were a ton of families with young children so I didn't get any glares from others on the flight when DS was acting up.

9h to germany and iceland
brought lots of snacks and toys to play with. It was a lot easier when we were able to keep him in his car seat on the plane, which we were able to do on 3 out of the 4 flights.

If your DS isn't squirmy like mine is then you should be ok... but we took an hour and a half flight when DS was around 10 months and I just thanked my lucky stars it was only so long, he never wants to stop moving!
