Looking for a good lease on a car
I test drove a Nissan Altima. It was a great car, but some safety features I want (which I have in my current car) are not available in the model and class I can afford. I am going to ask them about moving up a class to the SE, but they already told me the cost of the lease would be more. I'm going to shop around, but I was also looking to see if there are other cars out there w/ the options I am looking for:
-4 door sedan -ABS, front, side airbags -Front wheel drive -Traction Control -Mid sized, but w/ good gas mileage (4 cyl if possible) and must take regular gas -Roomy interior and trunk since we will be looking to start a family soon -Reliable and safe -Comfortable seats for someone w/ known back problems (my one complaint w/ my elantra) -power doors and seats, if possible -smooth ride
The car that I test drove does not have the option for traction control. I work in a hospital, which is open rain or shine, sleet or snow. I want at least that extra safety feature. Can anyone recommend their car?
Any raves and reviews for the altima, the malibu, or the camry (4 cyl)?

Not sure if it has all your features, but you should also check out the Pontiac G6.

Re: Looking for a good lease on a car
DH has an Altima and we love it! This is actually his 3rd one. They are super reliable. It is also really roomy. The trunk is huge and we can fit DS's stroller and a ton of other stuff in it.
DH has a bad back - had back surgery last year for it - and he never complained about being uncomfortable in his car - even when he drove it from St. Louis to NY! My Dad drove with him and was impressed on how comfortable the car is and how smooth the ride. My Dad has a Toyota Camry to compare it to.
The Altima is also very good in bad weather. I'm pretty sure DH has the S model. I can double check for you if you want but, he also has to drive in all types of weather for his job. There is no such thing as a snow day for him!!!

Yes, please check.
I test drove an Altima S and was impressed by the drive and comfort, as well as all of the trunk space and room. I really liked it a lot, but traction control was not an option on the S, just the SE. To pay so much more for the SE may not be worth it. I have driven cars w/ out traction control before (2 of my 3 cars didn't have it), to be honest I have not seen much of a difference. Maybe others had different experiences.
