Looking for a kitchen island
Does anyone have a kitchen island with seating for two - not a fancy beautiful permanent one as part of a renovation but a freestanding one?
I found a few nice ones at jcpenney.com but I wanted more choices and I can't find much.
Under 1k please and no wheels.
Lighter wood tones or possibly white.

i just saw one at big lots actually- It had a butcher block counter and white cabinets.

I had one made to match my cabinets with a stainless steel top for cooking and baking!!! I LOVE IT

Thanks. I am willing to spend a bit more to get something decent but there is one right by me so I will check it out.

I have this one from Amazon and it's beautiful in person. It's VERY well made and sturdy - very heavy. I get compliments on it literally every time someone new comes over. I actually bought it after seeing it in my neighbors house. It was so beautiful I had to know where she got it.
It's Home Styles brand Americana. I know they also make a slightly different version that has a flip up countertop to sit at.

Crate and Barrel has some that are pretty nice that I've looked at. Some of them have wheels but they have the option for wooden feet instead.

I have a crate and barrel one, white with butcher block top. It has been a lifesaver the past 5 years. Our brand new kitchen now has an island so we won't need it anymore and I'm a little sad and trying to find another purpose for it, lol.
