Looking for a lightweight stroller
We have a bugaboo, but are ready for something lighterweight. We live in the city, so there is LOTS of walking and it needs to be sturdy.
Any suggestions?

Re: Looking for a lightweight stroller
I live in the city too and have a Maclaren Techno. It weighs 14lbs. It's the best....will last you forever, fold easy and is lightweight. My Maclaren is actually over 4 years old...it belonged to my nephew....but the frame is in excellent condition so I just ordered new fabric to spruce it up.
How old is your baby? The Maclaren Quests and Triumphs are good too but your baby neesd to be more than 3 months old. Both weigh lessr than the Techno and the 2008 Quests have a carry strap if you go on the train or bus. I like it because it has nicer recline and an extendable footrest...but it's suited for ages 3 months and up. The step down is the Trimph...11lbs only 2 seat positions and carry strap. Then the Volo which has no recline but it's super light at 8lbs and also has a carry strap.
Check out Albee Baby on 92nd street. Sometimes they have last years models on sale. They also sell on Ebay under BabySurplus I believe. You can get a new Quest for $90-110 or a new Techno for $210.
ETA: I just saw you said you do alot of walking. In that case I would get a Techno....bigger wheels than the rest and has suspension. I had bought a Quest but sold it on Craigslist because it didn't have suspension and I felt every crack when I pushed it. I had already pushed the Techno since my nephew had it and it's much better for rough sidewalks etc.

Re: Looking for a lightweight stroller
92nd and Amsterdam I believe.
The website is www.albeebaby.com.
Sometimes the store is a hot mess though....like strollers folded and put in a corner so you have to search
