Looking for a Nassau OB affiliated with LIJ
Do any of you use a Dr. in Nassau that is affiliated with Long Island Jewish Hospital? I had such great care at the hospital and at Schneider's Children's Hospital that I would like to stay with someone that works there. Since I WILL NOT go back to my previous OB's office, I'm looking for any recommendations. My regular GYN is not an OB and the OB in his office is an idiot.
Also, how do you check up on a doctor to see if they have any malpractice suits against them?

I don't know of a doctor but I know you can call LIJ for a list of doctors that they can refer. I love LIJ as well. I think the antipardum ward could give you a list of doctors that they work with. Best of luck.

Donna- I have the number at work but the Office Where my gyn oncologist was on Northern Blvd in Manhasset works with LIF and they have some AMAZING Obgyn's, RE's and specialists in one office...They were listed as one of the top 100 in the country and they accept new patients. Unfortunatly they are too far for me..
Its the Ann and Jules Gotlieb Center.
I will get you the number and some info on the Dr's.
ya know, I may end up back there myself if I cant find someone closer. I never saw anyof the actual OB's but I cant tell you how much I have heard about them.
My dr had to go over my case and "accept" me as a patient because he had a huge waiting list!!! Lucikly he felt I was seeing dopey Dr's and it was half there fault I got so sick and he was a miracle worker.
Anywa, thats my referral for the day! LOL

I've already printed up the list from the LIJ website. But I'm still unsure of the Dr's which is why I feel I might be a little bit more comfortable with someone who goes to a specific doctor and knows they have a great bedside manner

I can reccomend my mother's gyn. His nameis Dr. Evan Sharpiro on Marcus Avenue. His number is 516 608 2800.
MY dr is wonderful, but she is Bayside. She is associated with LIJ/NorthShore hospital.
I truly can give her high marks!!!

I'm pretty sure my doctor is affiliated with LIJ - I know he is affiliated with North Shore - are they the same now? I don't know.
At any rate - his name is Dr. Trongone and his office is on Northern Blvd in Manhasset. My whole family uses him and we really like him.
