Looking for a new Pediatrician..
I'm looking for a new pediatrician. I just feel that maybe my baby's pedia doesn't tell me what to expect or ask me questions, but I ask tons of questions! Hehe Im looking for one in New Hyde Park or Bayside, or Garden City. Somewhere near anyone of those. Does anyone recommend their Pedia?? And why? Sorry =( Thank you very much!

I love mine more than anything.
It's his own practice. You can get an appt. at any time. He sees and knows every patient. He works 365 days a year.
His office is on Hillside Avenue in Williston Park.

I can't say enough amazing things about him.
I will say that he is not soft and fluffy. He tells it like it is, which is one of the reasons I really like him. I don't want a bunch of BS when it comes to my kids.

As a ped dietitian I know a lot of the peds and these are the ones I recommend

LOVE LOVE LOVE University Pediatrics in Garden City on Stewart Ave...
I see Dr. Talibeian but all of the Dr's I have seen have been great!

We use Winthrop Pediatrics (in Mineola, across the street from the hospital) and see Dr. Jennifer Theriot. She is absolutely wonderful, I can't say enough about her! She always takes her time, always starts and ends every single visit by asking if we have any questions or concerns, she never rushes us, she always explains everything, she has such a calm and caring manner with kids. She is fantastic!!

I work at Cohen's and hear great things about Arnie Chusid. Personally, I LOVE Stephanie Rosen in Great Neck. I can't imagine a more caring, supportive, and attentive pedi. She is like a good friend that you can talk to about anything and will always give it to you straight.

I LOVE HER TOO!! I went to her based on the recommendations on this board, and was not disappointed. She has been wonderful!!!!

I don't know anything about Rubin but I can say that Chusid is amazing.
His staff gets me in right away when my boys are sick. He gets on the phone and answers my questions - within usually 30 minutes or so. He remembers things about my kids even though he hasn't seen them in a few months. He had me call to have my son evaluated for speech at 15 months when everyone else thought I was nuts. He tells it like it is, and won't baby you - but I like that. I don't want someone who will tiptoe around me.

I use them and LOVE them - We usually see Dr. Yan, but all the Drs there are great - they are very accomidating and do not discount a mother's instinct (or a father's)

Did you try Dr. Rubin in Mineola? She recently added another doctor to the practice as well. She is amazing!
