Looking for a place in Queens for event...
DS is going to be baptised in Whitestone, Queens in March. Since we don't live in the area anymore, we can't have people back to our house.
Anyone know of any places in the Whitestone, Bayside area (or anywhere around there) that would be a good place to have lunch with everyone after the event? TIA!

The White House
My cousin had brunch for my aunt/uncle's 40th anniversary.
Not a fancy place at all though, so it depends what you want.
More expensive would be Cafe on The Green, love that place.

How many people are you expecting?
I found a few places nearby that may work.

Il Fagiano on utopia parkway.
Verdi's (don't know what Church your DC is being baptized in but this restaurant is very close to St. Luke's)
Cafe on the Green.
Giardino's ( i think that's the name) in Douglaston.

I wouldn't do Puccini's - It was the first restaurant we went to when we moved to queens and saw a roach crawling on the booth
What about Trattoria Gino (I think) on Bell & 35th ave ?

I love this place. I had my bridal shower there in 05 and since then, Russo's on the Bay bought it and they raised the prices so much! I wanted to have my baby shower there but it was the same menu and it was like $20 more pp!!
