Looking for a romantic getaway for Valentines day with DH...
any suggestions? So we really need time away from DS...
Dont want a long getaway - really just overnight...

Inn at Fox Hollow: DH and i stayed overnight when we just wanted to be close yet away. They have dinner packages too. You get a gift card for a restaurant w the price of the room and breakfast. I'm sure they have a special for Vday

We are staying at The Inn at Fox Hollow but didn't want to be told where to eat dinner so we just got a delux room with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals and we will be eating at a different restaurant that we like in the area-Cafe Testerosa. Then, on Sunday, we will go to The Bonwitt on our way home from brunch

While this is not ON Valentine's day, how about a cruise to nowhere out of NYC? NCL has really cheap rates right now. I think with taxes it comes to under $300.

we are staying friday and saturday in nyc at the trump soho! its a great hotel we stay there often for weekend getaways

I second this.
I had a friend that lived in Manhattan and would stay at various luxury hotels around the city. I thought it was a bit odd when I lived there. We now live in VA and absolutely love staying at various hotels around Manhattan. It is a totally different experience. I feel like such a tourist now when I visit NY and it is so much fun.
