Looking for an inexpensive brown area rug-
preferably all solid chocolate/espresso colored, but would take something like the one pictured if the price was right.
Any suggestions?
I've already checked Homegoods - they had nice things, but "finer" than I can go right now.
8'x10' would be ideal.
I'm going to check Home Depot and Lowe's, on recommendations from my Mom.
THanks

Re: Looking for an inexpensive brown area rug-
Macys has a clearance center in Carle Place and my SIL got some beautiful rugs there cheap. I guess it's hit or miss on what you'd find since it's a clearance center but they really are nice rugs. I think she paid $99 for an 8 x 10 that was originally $599
ETA: Also try jcpenney. Not the store but the website.

thanks! I'm also considering a remnant...I don't know if I could get one that size, though! Or how much it would be.... That's Wednesday's project.

Re: Looking for an inexpensive brown area rug-
We got remnants at a carpet place on Rte. 110 in Farmingdale for our apartment. I can't think of the name of the place right now. But they were very inexpensive.

Target!! I got one there for my den and I love it. You can search on their website by color too. I just looked at brown ones and there are solids and bordered ones like the one you posted.

I second the IKEA idea..... see if you can find your size/colors in one of their wool rugs.... they're a great buy (under $300 for your size), and last wonderfully well..... we've had a black/grey one for 4 years now. Initially, it required a bit of vacuuming becuase it shed a bit, but it stopped years ago, and is sooo plush.......
also, they have a much larger selection in the store than the catalog would suggest

Re: Looking for an inexpensive brown area rug-
I haven't been to ikea in YEARS.
We're going on Wednesday morning. I love that Rich is a teacher and gets to go on all these field trips with me the week before he has to go back to work

awesome!!!
We found one in Target tonight- they didn't have the right size, but another relatively close location does, so I'll run there in the A.M.
