Looking for bridal shower location near downtown brooklyn...
i'm planning my aunt's bridal shower and need some ideas. shes not a traditional bride...she doesnt like the sit down menu or opening gifts. shed rather drink wine and mimosas all day.
our #1 place is Joya right now, we're still waiting to hear from the owner who's a friend of my aunt. But we need some runner ups. Any ideas for a brunch type place that can hold about 40 people? TIA!

Re: Looking for bridal shower location near downtown brooklyn...
where about downtown?
I love Miriam for brunch. they have two locations but I go to the one in Park Slope.
Flatbush Farm is really cool. the garden is what I like though so if you are talking cooler months, forget that.
for something different, maybe try the Chocolate Room. it's not food, but wine and chocolate/desserts. It is like heaven in there, but it may be too small. it's not a huge place and I don't know the seating capacity. there are too, the one on Court does not yet have a liquor license, so it may be BYO.
Convivium Osteria is one of my favorite restaurants EVER but it is not cheap. worth it, but not cheap.
Bar Tabac on Court is great too.
not sure what you are looking for but hope this helps.

Thanks! I'll look into these.
I'm looking in the Clinton Hill, Carole Gardens, Park Slope area. I'm waiting to hear back from Ici and No.7 too.

Haha! I was going to suggest Joya! Great, now I'm in the mood for it!!!!
There's another great Thai place, similar to Joya, a few doors down. I've had lunch there a few times.
Here's their website: http://www.ghangthai.com/.
