looking for good doc
I'm looking to switch from Dr. Braverman who is treating me for infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Re: looking for good doc
May I ask why you want to switch from Dr. Braverman. I haven't met him, but spoke with him on the phone yesterday. I was thinking of checking him out.
I am using Dr. Steven Palter who was highly recommended by DH's cousin, so far so good, but I have only met with him once. Gold Coast IVF

Re: looking for good doc
Dr. Braverman is a relatively good doctor. He has been my ob for 3 years and delivered my son. Now I see him at SIRM, as well. This is definately a time of transition for their office.
I have waited anywhere from 45 min to 2 hrs. for an appointment. In his ob practice, I have been told that I could not see a doctor, only a nurse practioner or sono tech (even when I was in the middle of a miscarriage.) MOst of my complaints are about his office staff, but I don't think I'll go into anymore.
I think I'll give your doctor a call. Thanks for your response.

Re: looking for good doc
I am a patient at NSUH, Manhasset and am very happy with my care there - I am a pt of Dr Scholl who I find to be very thorough.
I am on my third IVF. #2 was a chemical pregnancy, as was one natural one almost 2 years ago, so he is doing some tests on me
I left another practice, not your one, to switch to NSUH a year ago, for similar reasons
hope this helps and good luck

Re: looking for good doc
I actually love my doctor, Dr. Lydic. He's a staff physician for Stony Brook University Hospital, a professor at the school and a specialist on PCOS and pregnancy loss. They are directly linked with the hospital. He's as sweet as pie and extremely thorough. If you'd like more info, please FM

Re: looking for good doc
I am a patient of LI-IVF going back for #2. I really loved them. I use the Port Jeff office but they also have offices in melville and Lake success. I think their results are some of the best on Long Island. I heard of braverman, I didn't think he was a RE though, I thought just an OB/GYN. Good Luck
